It’s important to upgrade your makeup bag every couple of months, to remove expired makeup and some new swag to your bag. Here are 5 useful ways to upgrade your makeup bag.
Upgrade Your Makeup Bag
With regards to skincare we are all about products that will not harm our skin and Bioderma – Sensibio Cleansing Water is formulated for all skin types – so it’s great news for those with dry, sensitive skin. This product not only cleanses the skin but also doubles up as a makeup remover and toner.
Personally I do use Avène – Skin Recovery Cream this is not only paraben, fragrance and coloring additive free. This really do the works to seal in the moisture to the skin. But as an alternative to this I use Physiogel Hypoallergenic Intensive Cream which gives that dewy skin finish.
L’Oreal Paris Magic Perfecting Base being non comedogenic and dermatologically tested this makeup base works well for all types of skin. With its lightweight formula this leaves the skin smooth and has that matte, flawless finish. If you are looking for a a perfect base that will result to a perfect skin and would last all day this one works best for you!
Another great primer to try is Smashbox’s Color Correcting Primers according to Taylor Davis “It changes the physical surface, diminishing the appearance of pores and fine lines, so that makeup goes on smoother”. The different color primer has different target effects which is great news as not all skin types are the same.
As a consumer I’d love to be able to do the works without spending too much and M·A·C – Conceal and Correct Palette is also dual purpose where it can be used as a concealer or a full coverage foundation making it good to cover dark circles, blemishes, moles, tattoos and birthmarks.
When everybody is so obsessed about looking all natural – no makeup-makeup look then the Urban Decay – Naked Eye Shadow Palettes works best as they have the most neutral shades. Not only is this palette has the neutral shades but this palette is a colour haven as all the most used colours are compacted in their collection.
Another great find – MAKE UP FOR EVER – 12 Flash Color Case very ideal for travellers as it can be used on the face, eyes, cheeks, lips, or for special effects colouring.
This one determines the frequency of usage like your powders the most common of our makeup must haves! Revlon ColorStay Whipped, a very flexible makeup that will last all day without feeling too heavy and cakey!
Not all of us use this but a MUST for all makeup bags is a makeup setting spray! If you would be attending a long event the Urban Decay – All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray will work best as this will keep your makeup looking just newly applied even for up to 16 hours – no need to worry about having a sensitive skin!
You cannot avoid having smudges or may want to correct your makeup at some point then keep intact those good old wipes! An ordinary facial wipes would do but there is nothing wrong about trying to use something professional like M·A·C – Wipes. Or for your easy correction to your smudged mascara or eyeliner then Q-Tips will solve it!
Lastly your tools for application! The brushes. Make sure that you choose a quality makeup brush, it maybe a bit costly at some point but believe me you’ll never regret having to but something that is expensive that will last a lifetime than a low-cost brand where you keep buying a new one. Amazon.com’s best seller makeup brush set is Sigma Essential Kit that comes in 12 brush set and hair material is both natural and synthetic. Also, I’d like to use the Beauty Blender not like the usual sponge this creates that fine, equal and flawless finish to the skin. With all of these products you need to have a makeup bag to store all of these! I want to see what I need immediately so I prefer those Clear Makeup Bags.
